ROH Assembly No 191

The setting up of the Hereford ROH Assembly was the idea of Bro Dave McKirdy ROH, as he felt there were sufficient eligible members within the Province. Bro Dave visited all Lodges within the Province to recruit members and obtain donations to start the Assembly.

The Assembly was opened on 19 March 1994 in the Richmond Place Club, Edgar Street. The ceremony was performed by Bro Bill Mott ROH and officers of the Gloucestershire ROH Assembly, as Hereford Province did not have a Brother who had been a Past President of a Roll of Honour Assembly.

Bro Mott installed Bro Ray Rigby ROH as the first President, who then installed all of his Officers. An enjoyable evening was enjoyed by all present.

The Assembly now meets at the Saracens Head Public House, St Martins Street, on the 3rd Tuesday of each even calendar month at 8 p.m. and though membership is growing, more members are always made welcome.
